Products in Development
IPS is always open to new ideas and identifying ways to improve and develop new innovative products. Our development team are currently working on improving and developing:
- Improving current cockroach formulations, lures and traps.
- Cheaper and more effective red dated palm weevil (Rhynchophorous ferrugineus) lures, formulation and traps.
- New tomato leaf miner (Tuta absoluta) dispenser formulation.
- Stored product pest traps.
Unitraps
Durable and reusable, Unitraps (bucket/funnel) are used to monitor many flying insect pests. The Funnel traps come as complete units with hangers and lure holder. These photos are of standard Unitrap colours (green lid, yellow funnel and white base). These are only a selection of several combinations of colours; IPS can offer any combination of colours required along with the option of having your company logo embossed on the lid.
Liquibaitor Traps
This original design can be used for a variety of fruit fly species. We supply lures for the Medfly (Ceratitis capitata) lure, Oriental fruit fly (Bactrocera dorsalis) and melon fly (Dacus cucurbitae). Also for the domestic market we supply a wasp and fly liquid lure.
Flying Beetle Traps
Unitrap with a cross barrier to trap flying beetles. The beetle is attracted to the trap and then flies into the cross barrier and falls into the bucket below. The trap has been used for Chafer grubs which are a destructive pest of lawns and grass areas. They can also attack vegetables, annuals and some bulb plants. The adult beetles have also been known to cause damage to apples in orchards. Large numbers of grubs cause grass to turn yellow and the roots can be completely consumed. The grubs also attract wildlife like badgers and birds to rip up the grass looking for the grubs to feed on. IPS can offer any combination of colours required along with the option of having your company logo embossed on the lid.
Delta Traps
The majority of Delta Traps are used for trapping and monitoring Lepidoptera. Delta traps can be used for adults up to about 25mm in length. Traps use a sticky catch surface to capture pest insects. We manufacture in any colour you require and can put your company logo on the side, the traps are supplied with a pack of three or ten sticky boards and a cage and cage holder and the pheromone for the pest you want to monitor.
Roller Traps
Used to detect and control pest populations. The trap is supplied on a roll as a two sided trap with wet glue. It is designed to be rolled out above or alongside the crop. Roller trap is generally supplied in rolls of 100 metre lengths. The film on which the glue is placed is either 15cm or 30cm in width. We can also supply in the following colours: blue, yellow and clear.
Wet Sticky Tapes
Sticky traps are used to catch and monitor flying insect pests. Wet stick traps are manufactured in the UK and are produced by the insect monitoring trap specialist company. They are made from coloured plastics and glue. Available in: yellow, blue and white. It is available in sizes: 10 x 20cm, 10 x 25cm or 20 x 40cm.

Dry Sticky Boards
Used to detect pest populations early before they cause damage to the crop, to monitor the success of a control measure and to provide data on long term pest problems. These traps have dry glue covered with a paper sheet preventing traps sticking together in the pack. Traps remain sticky until covered in dust or dead insects. They come in various sizes. Please enquire which size you require.
